Last week, the world said goodbye to folk-rock legend David Crosby. The singer-songwriter passed away at the age of 81 after a long illness. Crosby was one of the co-founders of the iconic folk-rock band the Byrds. He went on to achieve massive success as one-third of Crosby, Stills & Nash and as part of the on-again, off-again quartet Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. With Graham Nash, he recorded three gold albums in the 1970s. His work with the Byrds and CSNY has sold over 35 million albums. He also embarked on a successful solo career, releasing six solo albums.

Crosby was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once with the Byrds, and again with CSN. He was influential not only with his music, but also with his outspoken personality. He was often considered emblematic of the counterculture of the 1960s.
