One of the most accomplished pop music composers of the 20th century, Burt Bacharach, died Wednesday (February 8) at the age of 94. Throughout his career, Bacharach helped write 52 top 40 hits including “Alfie”, “Walk on By”, “Promises, Promises”, “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head”, "What The World Needs Now” and more. Along with lyricist partner Hal David, he experimented with new rhythms and harmonies to compose uplifting and innovative melodies.
