Ten years ago today, Swedish band First Aid Kit, anchored by sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg, released their third studio album, Stay Gold, which features the hit “Silver Lining” — a song well known for the lyrics in its chorus, “I try to keep on keepin’ on.”

First Aid Kit are but one of many musical artists to come out of Sweden and gather fans around the globe. Maybe it’s something in the water — or something in the air that night, the stars were bright… Whatever it may be, they’re doing something very well in Sweden when it comes to training and nurturing musicians. Let’s celebrate that musical output today.
