As we go through The Current’s Top 89 Countdowns from years past, we’ve safely arrived in 2016. That’s when we got the semi-addictive game Pokemon Go; Beyoncé’s Lemonade album; and the Olympics were held in Rio. The year also started with a huge loss, when David Bowie died on January 10. This is also the year we lost fellow superstars George Michael, Gene Wilder, Carrie Fisher — and of course, Prince.
