Our time machine stopped in 2020, and the year was culturally significant in multiple ways. It gave us the show Tiger King, Billie Eilish picked up FIVE Grammy awards and became the youngest person to win Album of the Year for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, and time itself was divided by the coronavirus pandemic — with everything that happened previously being labeled as “the before times.” 2020 was also the year that George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis, sparking conversations about racial injustice and protests around the globe. The times were trying, but the music was always there.
