Now and then, something will become so popular that it becomes a focus in pop culture. Enter the Labubu. The small, monster-like dolls can stand alone or be affixed to a bag or backpack, and they seem to have taken over as the latest craze.

According to NPR, artist Kasing Lung created Labubus as storybook characters, and they gained fame worldwide after Lung teamed up with toy company POP MART in 2019. Labubus have even caught the eye of celebrities like Rhiannon, Lizzo, and Kim Kardashian, who have all been seen with the viral toys.

There have also been similar trends when it comes to music. Brat Summer, the grunge explosion, and even disco could be seen as musical trends. Today, let’s create a playlist full of pop-culture fun!
