Coffee Break: National Recovery Month
by Jill Riley and Nilufer Arsala
September 23, 2025

National Recovery Month is held every September to increase public awareness surrounding mental health and addiction recovery. The national observance began back in 1989 and also celebrates the successes of those in recovery and the service providers and communities that help make recovery possible.
Whether you’re on your own sobriety journey, are sober curious, or would just like to drop an encouraging word, let’s celebrate National Recovery Month with music!
So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs related to being on a sobriety journey or in recovery would you like to hear?
