A concept album is a record that tells a full story with its songs, and there have been some standouts released just this year. But the concept album isn’t a new thing.

Woody Guthrie’s 1940 album, Dust Bowl Ballads, centered around the theme of the Dust Bowl and its impact on people. It’s widely considered a pioneer of the genre.

In the years since, albums centered around a central theme have been released by artists across genres…much to the delight of fans everywhere. Today, let’s highlight some of our favorites by creating a playlist of previews.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs from a concept album would you like to hear?
