Bluegrass artists have been taking center stage recently. Artists like Molly Tuttle and Billy Strings are racking up awards, making the rounds on social media, and performing on late night TV shows.

There are also some bluegrass artists close to home. Pert Near Sandstone is the group behind the Blue Ox Music Festival in Eau Claire each year, and they will be performing at the event this summer.

You won’t have to wait that long to see the group live though - their annual show at the First Avenue main room is Friday night! Let’s kick off the weekend by getting in a string-band state of mind.
