When you listen to music, you expect singing, but sometimes you end up getting something different. Every now and again, you get a little bit of spoken word.

Artists or bands will sometimes feature others in parts of a song where lyrics are spoken, or have even been known to perform full songs in a speaking voice. Screaming can even be used during songs to accentuate a point. Let’s create a playlist full of songs that talk back.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs that contain an element of spoken word would you like to hear?
