We learned during Music History today that it’s Sarah McLachlan’s birthday! During her 58 years on the planet, Sarah has made an incredible impact on the world of music.

From The Current: Jan. 28 in Music History: Happy birthday, Sarah McLachlan

McLachlan burst onto the scene after the release of her 1993 album, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, and in the late 90s, launched the women-led music festival, Lilith Fair, after becoming frustrated by the lack of opportunities for women in the music industry.

The release of the new documentary, Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery, has brought the groundbreaking tour back into the limelight, and McLachlan capped off a stellar 2025 by releasing her new album, Better Broken. Let’s celebrate this musical icon by creating a playlist of artists who performed at Lilith Fair.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs by artists who performed at Lilith Fair would you like to hear?
