The day after Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, is known as Ash Wednesday. It marks the beginning of Lent, a season observed by many Christian denominations, as a time of fasting, prayer and charitable giving in the run-up to Easter.

Some people decide to abstain from a habit or vice during Lent. Things like sugar, red meat, alcohol, or even screens have been used as a sacrifice. Let’s keep track of what might be given up for Lent with song!

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs that represent something you’re giving up for Lent would you like to hear?
