Monday is the first day of Pride Month! Community events will be happening all over the state — and all month long! — to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.

According to the American Library Association, Pride Month recognizes the impact that people in the LGBTQIA+ community have had on history. It is held in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, which became a catalyst for the LGBTQIA+ rights movement.

Let’s start this month with music that supports, celebrates, and champions the LGBTQIA+ community by creating a playlist of some of our favorite artists! (And, If you want even more music for Pride after the Coffee Break, you can flip over to The Current’s Pride Stream!)

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs from artists in the LGBTQIA+ community would you like to hear?
