Hallie Gronquist remembers the day she learned Bunny Blood — a hard-rocking trio comprising herself, Jared Jones and Josh Fetzek — were the top vote getters in the Minnesota Music Month Scouting Report poll of 2026. “Me and my husband were floating in the therapy pool at The Marsh,” Gronquist recalls, “and Josh texted, and he's like, ‘Holy *******!’ and I was like, ‘What?’ And I look at the email, and it was so exciting! It was a dream come true.”

It’s even more of a dream considering the band came together quite a bit by accident, connecting as they did by dint of neighboring rooms at Minneapolis’ City Sound rehearsal facility. “Josh had a space right across the hall,” Gronquist says, “and I was like, ‘You want to jam?,’ and we did, and then we fell in love, and now we're a band.”

That band, Bunny Blood, released an EP, Big House, on April 17 — the same day the band visited Minnesota Public Radio for a live taping of The Local Show, hosted by Diane. Watch the full session and interview above.
