We recently learned that CD sales increased by almost sixty percent during the first half of 2026. In other words: CDS ARE BACK, BABY!!!

The Recording Industry Association of America’s new mid-year report attributes much of the growth to K-pop fans, but also to those building physical music collections and finding CDs more affordable than their vinyl counterparts.

The news has us taking a trip down memory lane and talking about the first CD we ever got, and now we want to know yours! :D Tell us what your first CD was – and the story behind it – in the comments below to help build a playlist full of CDs and memories.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what song from the first CD you ever got would you like to hear?
