On October 23, 2001, the first iPod was announced to the public. It hit the market on November 10 of the same year, and the device changed the way we listened to music on the go.

The iPod came with the promise that you could carry “1000 songs in your pocket,” and brought with it digital playlists, single songs from different artists, and custom curation.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 25 years since the way we listen to music (and all kinds of audio!) changed so drastically. Let’s celebrate National iPod Day by looking back at some of the sweet jams you were into back in the day.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs that were on your iPod would you like to hear?
