TALK — the artist name of musician Nicholas Durocher — has captured the attention of most of the world with his hit single, “Run Away to Mars.” With a debut album expected later this year, TALK visited The Current studio for a session hosted by Ayisha Jaffer.

Nikki Lane’s latest album, ‘Denim & Diamonds,’ released in September 2022. While on the first leg of the tour in support of that album, Lane stopped at The Current studio to play songs and to visit with Bill DeVille about the origins of her songs and the making of the new album.

Utah indie-rock band the Backseat Lovers visited The Current studio to perform stripped-down versions of songs from their new album, ‘Waiting To Spill,’ and to chat with host Ayisha Jaffer.

On tour supporting her new album, Take It Like A Man, singer-songwriter Amanda Shires visited The Current studio to play songs from the album and to have a conversation with The Current Morning Show host Jill Riley.

The prolific Texas-based artist Charley Crockett has released 11 albums since 2015. On tour in support of his latest, 'The Man From Waco,’ Crockett visited The Current for a session hosted by Bill DeVille.

Powwow singer Joe Rainey performed three tracks from the critically acclaimed 2022 record Niineta at The Current. During his visit, Local Show host Diane also talked with Rainey, from Minneapolis and now based in Wisconsin, about the inspiration for this unique collaboration, as well as his aspirations to uplift and amplify Native culture.

Bartees and two of his bandmates — Dan Kleederman and Graham Richman — visited The Current studio to play stripped-down versions of songs from Bartees Strange’s second full-length album, ‘Farm To Table.’
