On a snowy December evening, the Cactus Blossoms' Page Burkum, Jack Torrey and Jacob Hanson serenaded a small audience inside St. Paul's Virginia Street Church. With their timeless melodies and perfect harmonies, the Cactus Blossoms performed songs from their 2019 album 'Easy Way' as well as some back-catalogue gems.

Formed in Virginia in 2015, Illiterate Light recently released a self-titled album on Atlantic Records. 'We didn't necessarily set out to form Illiterate Light as the next power duo,' says the band's Jeff Gorman, although he and bandmate Jake Cochran seem to be well on their way to doing just that. They visited The Current for a session hosted by Eric Malmberg.

For her latest album, 'Freeway,' Pieta Brown knew which musicians she wanted to work with and where she wanted to record. Gathering a number of accomplished players from Wisconsin and Minnesota, Brown recorded her new album at April Base in Wisconsin. On a recent visit to The Current, Brown and her friends performed some songs from the resulting album for a session heard on United States of Americana.

The New York band anchored by duo Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell visited The Current for a session featured on New Hot. Elion and Mitchell spoke to host Jade about their evolution as artists and about what they're looking forward to next.

The incredible guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela visited The Current studio to play selections from their Grammy-nominated album, 'Mettavolution.'

Together with collaborator Jackson Phillips, singer-songwriter Pete Yorn visited The Current to play songs from his latest album, 'Caretakers,' as well as a song from his breakthrough release, 'Musicforthemorningafter.'
