Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard stopped by The Current to record a stripped-down session before a sold out show at Northrop in support of their new album, Kintsugi, a nod to the Japanese technique of repairing broken ceramics with gold.

After decompressing in his home state of Michigan, Ben Schneider convinced his childhood bandmates to move to Los Angeles to record music. Together they are Lord Huron. The band stopped by The Current studio to perform live in-studio before a sold out show in First Avenue's mainroom.

Anticipating the release of Ripple, their first release on the Twin Cities-based record label Forged Artifacts, Panther Ray stopped by The Current to perform in-studio and to chat with The Local Show's host David Campbell.

Ahead of a sold out show in the First Avenue mainroom with Sup Pop lablemates King Tuff, Josh Tillman—aka Father John Misty—stopped by The Current studio to perform tracks off his latest album I Love You, Honeybear and to chat with host David Campbell.

Melbourne singer-songwriter Meg Mac has been busy touring the U.S. with English electronic group Clean Bandit. She stopped in to The Current studio to talk to Mary Lucia and to perform some songs from her self-titled EP. 'It's been my dream [to be a touring musician] for a long time,' she says, 'so it feels really crazy to be in America, travelling and singing.' Listen to the complete in-studio session.

OK Go like to push the bounds of imagination in all its positive forms. In town for a sold-out show at First Avenue, OK Go's Damian Kulash, Tim Nordwind and Andy Ross visited The Current for a special acoustic session and to talk to Jill Riley about their many creative outlets. "We try not to recognize a distinction between the different forms of creativity we pursue," Kulash says.
