Heavy Table food editor James Norton joins the Current's Morning Show to talk about the local food scene.


Today on The Morning Show's Eating and Drinking, James Norton chatted with Jill Riley about one of her favorite topics: Pizza! "Everybody loves pizza, everybody's got a pizza opinion so it's a fun topic to consider and to write about," James says.

James notes that the Twin Cities metro area has seen an explosion of really excellent pizza in recent times. That's in sharp contrast to the situation of about 10 years ago, when pickings were slim. "I'm much more comfortable telling people from other parts of the country, 'Come to the Twin Cities, eat the pizza, there's a bunch of great places to go. The last five or so years have seen a number of truly artisan pizza places open," James says. "There's a lot of care going into the quality of ingredients and how those ingredients are combined."
