Kurt Vile returns to the top just in time to celebrate being The Current's Album of the Week! Music director David Safar says b'lieve i'm goin down... is "a signpost in a career of an indie-rock underdog who has found success by trying hard to not try hard."

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to An Acoustic Evening with Yo La Tengo at the Pantages Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 7!

CHVRCHES slip down from No.1 but are inducted to the Hall of Fame for the third time, putting them at No.37 on our All-Time Hall of Fame chart. Lead singer Lauren Mayberry sang with the National on stage at San Francisco's Treasure Island Music Festival over the weekend.

My Morning Jacket are also inducted for the third time putting them at No.33 on the All-Time Hall of Fame chart. Lead singer Jim James practices Transcendental Meditation and is involved in a big show hosted by another TM enthusiast, film director David Lynch, at Carnegie Hall on Nov. 4.

Five of the top ten acts will be inducted in the next two weeks, so big chart changes are coming. One artist I expect to be inducted is Ben Folds. He's performing a very intimate, private show for listeners at the Turf Club next month, and the only way on to the guest list is by winning through The Current.

Eagles of Death Metal are brand spankin' new on our chart for the first time ever. They're on a massive world tour in support of Zipper Down, their fourth album. Josh Homme is a founding member but doesn't always play live with them as he's busy with Queens of the Stone Age, and various collaborative projects, but he did appear on Kimmel last week.

Deerhunter also make their debut at No.20. The new album Fading Frontier came out last week and is being reviewed as their best and most mainstream album to date. But The Guardian still describes the album as deep and complex.

If you survived the Zombie Pub Crawl and are still up for being scary next weekend, wear a bad hat and come to the Films at the Fitz screening of Gremlins and Little Shop of Horrors, with a set from the band at ... No.13! (Scary!!)
