This week, on Teenage Kicks explore one of the defining albums of the post-punk era, Unknown Pleasures by British band Joy Division, released on June 15, 46 years ago in 1979. It was their debut Long Player, produced by Martin Hannett, who significantly altered their sound, a sound that went on to be their signature sound. Although the album did not chart, Unknown Pleasures was widely critically acclaimed and continues to influence musicians.
