The biggest festival of the year in the UK started today in Glastonbury and The Chart Show's #1 band this week will be performing there, alongside tons of other favorites we have here at The Current. Headliners include fellow Brits Arctic Monkeys and The Rolling Stones, and Daft Punk, who have been butting heads with Alt-J on our charts, are rumored to be making a surprise appearance. Check the BBC for details and possible live feeds.

We lost Har Mar Superstar and Thao and The Get Down Stay Down, both after nine-week runs but gained Nine Inch Nails, a debut for them on our charts, with their comeback single "Come Back Haunted." Dawes, who have been inducted to the Hall of Fame three times already, makes the highest new entry as their fans get excited for their TWO sold out shows at First Avenue next week.

Dessa played a couple sold out shows this week to celebrate the release of her sophomore record Parts of Speech. She deconstructed the album and song writing process with David Campbell for a very special show that we web streamed and will rebroadcast on the Local Show next week.

John Grant stopped by this week, too. We'll play his live performance June 28 at 8:30 a.m. during the Morning Show with Steve Seel and Jill Riley. Grant talked with Steve about rocking with pride--fitting for the events happening around town the next few days for Pride Weekend!

Be sure to tune-in Friday June 28 from 4-6 p.m. for our Artists Who Rock with Pride segment and email me any special requests or dedications you have for Get Ya Freak On which follows the countdown.
