MPR News Arts Reporter Marianne Combs joins The Current's Steve Seel and Jill Riley to talk about Twin Cities Pride Festival and two plays: one dealing with race and class and the other taking a humorous look at post-apocalyptic potties.

Twin Cities Pride Festival: With its home base in Loring Park in Minneapolis, the Twin Cities Pride Festival is a celebration of the GLBT community; there's no admission fee and all are welcome. Twin Cities Pride features stages, food and beverage booths, art and live music. Marianne suggests visiting the website tcpride.org for further details.

Clybourne Park: This satiric comedy about race and class centers on a black family who move into a white neighborhood in 1950s Chicago. The play features local actors Shá Cage and Peter Christian Hansen, among others. Clybourne Park opened at the Guthrie Theater on June 1 and it continues to August 4.

Urinetown: The Musical: This musical comedy envisages a future in which a terrible water shortage has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. A single malevolent company profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs until a hero foments a revolution that may offer relief. Urinetown opened at the Jungle Theater in Minneapolis on June 7, and it runs until August 11.
