CHVRCHES finally reach the top! Must be because they were on Jimmy Kimmel last night or the live reviews they've been getting, which suggest that they are living up to the hype — they recently played a sold out show at a 2,800 capacity venue in Oakland, CA.

Arcade Fire will likely sell out a lot of their shows but will they be full of formally dressed fans? Some in the media suggested that the band's request was ridiculous, so Win Butler had to go to Facebook to explain that it was not "super mandatory". I love the idea of turning up at a show where everyone is getting into the spirit of celebration and dressing up for the occasion, whether in a tux or a rabbit costume! Tickets go on sale Nov. 22 for the Target Center March 8, but we have a pre-sale running until 10 p.m. tonight (Nov. 21).

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to see Mason Jennings at First Avenue on Friday, Dec. 6!

Bumped into Jeremy Messersmith this weekend at the Charlie Awards. He was excited to hear that the first single is a hit and promises a few more on the new album early next year! He just got back from a West Coast tour supporting BOY who had the full band this time out.

HAIM will be on Saturday Night Live this Nov. 23 and just announced a massive tour next year that may even include Coachella. We have a pre-sale for the sister trio's May 19 show running until 10 p.m. tonight, too. General public tickets go on sale tomorrow, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m.

Lorde ensures that she's not a one hit wonder with the second song to chart from Pure Heroine as the highest new entry at #7; Volcano Choir and Neko get their second entries at #13 and #16; MS MR and Billie Joe Armstrong & Norah make their debuts.

I love that Billie Joe and Norah have shined a spotlight on The Everly Brothers by covering their entire 1958 album Songs Our Daddy Taught Us. I've often said on air that my dad would burst into song at every opportunity around the house when I was a kid and The Everly's were a regular choice in his internal play list, especially their first hit "Bye Bye Love" and the slightly strange "Cathy's Clown"!

Next week... Happy Thanksgiving day everyone! Get your votes in early as we'll run the show on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. to accommodate the festivities.
