Jeremy Messersmith is inducted into the Chart Hall of Fame this week, ending his run back at the top! He's one of the acts that we announced for Rock The Garden 2014tickets are now available. De La Soul are also on the bill and they're one of three new entries this week. We lost Asgeir, Blitzen Trapper and Dan Wilson.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to Nickel Creek's big return show at the State Theatre on May 11!

The Black Keys jumped up 11 places this week and are doing well on the national Billboard charts too. "Fever" went to
#1 on the AAA chart, which is the closest of radio charts to The Current's. It was the fastest song to get to the top since Mumford and Sons' "I Will Wait."

Speaking of fastest... Jack White set a world record on Record Store Day this weekend, recording and selling a single in under
four hours at his own store Third Man! The first single from his forthcoming Lazaretto album enters our chart at #8 this week, pipped to the highest new entry by
Phantogram who recently played another sold out show at First Avenue. Vita.MN's Chris Riemenschneider reports, "The show burned nonstop until the end, reaching a feverish pitch with 'Howling at the Moon' and again with a spot-on 'Mouthful of Diamonds.' Saying her goodbyes, Barthel singled out First Ave as a diamond in the rough. 'Every time we play here, it's our favorite show on the tour,' she said."

Beck got rave reviews too for his Coachella performances the last two weekends and he's just been named on the massive two-weekend
Austin City Limits Festival lineup along with Pearl Jam, Outkast, Eminem Oct. 3-5 and 10-12. Lorde is also on the bill...if her parents will let her play — they've insisted she take a break from the road for a while because of a nasty chest infection.

Temples will be at First Avenue Thursday night, if you can't make it to the show tune in around 3:20 p.m. that afternoon — I'll be hosting a live in-studio session featuring the English psych-rock band.
