About the Contestants
Craig Finn is the frontman and lead singer-songwriter of the band the Hold Steady. As a solo artist, Finn has released four studio albums, the most recent being 2019's I Need a New War. Finn grew up in the Twin Cities metro area (Edina, Minn.) and has lived in New York City since 2000. Known for his narrative lyrical style, Finn's lyrics frequently include references to the Twin Cities area.
Adam Weiner is the frontman and principal songwriter for Low Cut Connie, who have released six studio albums, the most recent being 2020's double-length Private Lives. During the pandemic, Low Cut Connie gained global attention with their twice-weekly "Tough Cookies" concerts, streamed from Weiner's home in Philadelphia. A compilation album from those shows, Tough Cookies: Best Of The Quarantine Broadcasts, released on May 23.
