Phil Harder is a Minnesota-based filmmaker who spent 29 years working and collaborating on the visual element of Duluth band Low’s musical output. Harder’s film, ‘Cue the Strings - a film about Low,’ will screen this weekend at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival.

Dave Pirner and Ryan Smith of Soul Asylum plug their MTV Unplugged Anniversary show and vinyl release with an in-studio performance and interview. Plus, Grammy Award-winning folk band The Okee Dokee Brothers chat with host Diane and promote their new family-friendly record "Brambletown". We'll also pay homage to beloved Duluth-based singer Diona Johnson (AfroGeode), who tragically passed last week.

“We're 20 years as a band this year,” the Hold Steady’s frontman Craig Finn tells Mac Wilson, “so I’m excited to be celebrating that 20-year anniversary at such an iconic Minnesota venue — the State Fair, it's huge.”

Diona Johnson was just 35 when she died unexpectedly on Monday, April 10.
