Mark your calendar for October 6 to watch Death Cab for Cutie perform at the Palace Theatre.

Natalie Prass is based out of Richmond, Virginia, but she's criss-crossing North America and Europe this year to support her album "The Future and the Past." Before her stop at the Turf Club in St. Paul, she visited The Current to play a few songs and chat with Mark Wheat.

Following the synth-pop sounds of Metric's last album, 'Pagans in Vegas,' they've returned to rock tunes on their brand-new 'Art of Doubt,' out Friday, Sept. 21. 'It felt so good to come back to rock,' says Metric's Emily Haines. Haines and bandmate Jimmy Shaw stopped at The Current to play some stripped-down versions of the new tunes and to chat with host Mac Wilson.

In town for two nights of shows at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, Leon Bridges walked over to The Current for an in-studio session hosted by Jade. Performing solo and with an acoustic guitar, Bridges played a couple songs off his latest album, 'Good Thing.' Bridges also pulled back the curtain on his songwriting process.

Within the whimsical surrounds of Can Can Wonderland in St. Paul, Minn., Superorganism perform a MicroShow for The Current before an all-ages audience.

On Monday, Aug. 6, a select group of The Current's listeners were treated to a #MicroShow with Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, who performed at the Turf Club (capacity 350) in St. Paul. The band's generous set includes seven songs from their latest release, 'Tearing at the Seams,' plus a favorite from their breakout self-titled album from 2015.

Ahead of their big 'an evening with Dawes' concert at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, Dawes stopped in The Current's studio to play an acoustic set and to chat with Mark Wheat.

Neko Case played the second show on her fall tour supporting the album, 'Hell-On,' on Thursday, Sept. 6, in Saint Paul, Minn. We streamed live video of her entire set at The Palace Theatre.

Minnesota band Now Now stopped at the MPR booth at the Minnesota State Fair to perform a live set as part of Oake and Riley in the Afternoon. Between songs, the band members talked about their upcoming tour plans and bonded with Brian Oake over their shared roots in the Twin Cities area's northern suburbs.
